    How the Wallet works

Your Wallet is an in-app balance funded by referral cashback and rewards from FameRace. You spend it on boosts – there is no card top-up.

    Updated October 5, 2026

The Wallet is your in-app balance on FameRace. You can see it any time at /wallet, with a full ledger of every credit and debit.

    Where the money comes from

The main way the Wallet fills is referral cashback. When people you invited make qualifying boosts, you earn a share of those amounts back as Wallet balance – 5% on a free account, or 10% with Premium.

One other thing can add to it: occasional credits issued by FameRace (for example a reward for a confirmed bug report). No card is involved, and none of it can be paid out – it is spendable balance only.

There is no card top-up. You can't add money to the Wallet directly – it fills only from cashback and rewards granted by FameRace, and it can't be withdrawn. This keeps the Wallet a rewards balance, not a stored-value account. See referral cashback.

What you can spend it on

Wallet balance is a payment method for boosts – the alternative to paying by card (Stripe). At boost checkout you pick where the money comes from. The Wallet option appears only when your balance covers the whole boost – there is no splitting a boost between Wallet and card. When it does, the Wallet covers it instantly with no card charge.

    The ledger

    Every movement is recorded:

    • Credits – cashback from your referrals' boosts, credits issued by FameRace, and refunds of boosts you had paid from the Wallet.
    • Debits – boosts you paid for from the balance, and cashback clawed back when a referred boost is fully refunded or held while a payment is under review.

The running total at the top of /wallet is always the sum of the ledger.
