The FameRace leaderboard has more than one way of ranking. The default — what you see when you open /top — is the Boosts board, sorted by lifetime boost total in descending order. The Audience board lives at /top/audience. Two other sections sit next to it: Rising and Spotlight.
The main leaderboard
The big list. Has two modes you can toggle:
- Boosts mode (default) – only pages that have received at least one paid boost, sorted by the total of the boosts placed on each page. A boost can be paid by card or from a FameRace Wallet balance that FameRace issues at its own discretion, so the total is not a measure of cash paid to FameRace
- Audience mode — every page that qualifies for the board, sorted by pure follower sums across verified social links
Same filters (region, category, page type), different lens — and not quite the same population: Audience lists everyone who qualifies, Boosts lists only the pages that have been boosted.
Rising
What Rising means depends on the mode you are in.
In Audience mode (/top/rising/audience): profiles whose tracked audience (the sum of the follower counts we read across their verified links) has grown the most in the last 7 days, limited to profiles with a total audience between 10,000 and 999,999 (above that they belong in Spotlight). We require at least one pre-window measurement on the profile, so a brand-new profile won't show up the day after its first verify — it needs to be on the platform long enough to have a "before" snapshot to compare against.
Negative deltas are excluded — Rising is, by name, profiles going up. A profile that lost followers won't appear in a "Falling" section because there isn't one.
In Boosts mode (/top/rising, the default): Rising is simply the band of pages with between $1 and $10,000 in lifetime boosts — pages that have started being boosted but are not yet in the big leagues. No growth calculation is involved.
Spotlight
In Audience mode (/top/spotlight/audience): profiles with the most profile views in the last 7 days, among profiles whose total audience is 1,000,000 or more. It counts view events, not unique visitors: repeat visits from the same logged-in viewer collapse to one every 30 minutes, but logged-out views aren't deduplicated yet, so refreshes can inflate them. Views of your own profile don't count. Spotlight is closer to "what people are looking at" than "what people are following".
In Boosts mode (/top/spotlight, the default): Spotlight is the band of pages with $1,000,000 or more in lifetime boosts. Views play no part.
Why two signals?
Audience is durable but slow — it takes platform-side growth to move. Rising is fast but noisy. Spotlight catches profiles spiking in attention even before that attention turns into follows. Three different lenses on the same question: who is famous right now?
Filtering
Both sections honor the region filter (see filtering by region and category), so you can ask "who's rising in Brazil" rather than only the global view. Choosing a category is different: it switches you to that category's main Audience or Boosts board rather than a category-scoped Rising or Spotlight.
