Boosts are paid by card through Stripe, or from your FameRace Wallet balance. A single boost can be anywhere from $5 up to $100,000, in whole dollars – the amount field takes no cents.

Any page on FameRace can be boosted once it is complete enough to appear on the leaderboard (photo, headline, bio, a link and a category) – otherwise the checkout refuses the boost before anything is charged. See who can be boosted.

For any boost – $5 up to the $100,000 cap – Stripe handles the payment. You'll see a familiar Stripe checkout with:

    • Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.)
    • Apple Pay / Google Pay (shown on the card tab when your browser has them set up)
    • Link (Stripe's one-click checkout)

The charge appears on your statement as FAMERACE.

Every card boost asks your bank for 3D Secure authentication; most cards pass it silently, some show a short confirmation step.

    Tax

Boosts are tax-inclusive. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay – FameRace absorbs sales tax / VAT on the boost itself.

The $100,000 limit is per single boost, not per profile. You can boost the same profile multiple times and the totals just add up in the "$X in boosts" figure shown on the profile, which has no ceiling.

    What about wallet balance?

You can boost from your in-app Wallet balance too – it's a second payment method alongside Stripe. The Wallet option only appears when your balance covers the whole boost. Wallet balances are funded by referral cashback (up to 10% of qualifying boosts your invitees make – 5% on the free tier, 10% with Premium) and by occasional credits from FameRace, such as a reward for a confirmed bug report; there's no direct top-up. See how the Wallet works.

    Failures and disputes

If a Stripe charge fails, the boost is never applied and your card isn't charged. If a payment succeeds but the boost doesn't show up within a few minutes, contact support – and read refunds and disputes before doing a chargeback so we can resolve it cleanly first.
