    Refunds and disputes

What to do if a boost payment succeeds but the boost is missing, and how to handle refunds without a chargeback.

    Updated September 3, 2026

A boost is a payment, so it's worth knowing what happens when something doesn't go to plan. A card boost moves real money; a boost paid from your Wallet moves balance, and reverses back to the Wallet.

A payment succeeded but the boost is missing

Most boosts record within a minute or two. If a charge went through but the boost isn't on the profile after a few minutes:

    1. Give it a moment

Refresh the profile — the boost usually appears within a minute or two of the charge.

    2. Contact support

Still missing? Use the support form (topic “Payment or refund”) or email support@famerace.com with the date, amount, and payment method. We can see the payment and reconcile the boost.

    Failed payments

If a card charge fails, the boost never records and nothing is charged to your card. Just try again in the same checkout, or use another payment method.

    Refunds and chargebacks

Boosts are tax-inclusive and generally final, but genuine mistakes happen. If a refund is approved it goes back to the original payment method — a boost paid from your Wallet is returned as Wallet credit — and the refunded share of the boost is removed from the leaderboard (a partial refund removes only the part returned). You are never required to contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, but please reach out first — it is almost always faster:

A chargeback freezes the disputed amount while the bank investigates. The boost is not undone automatically — we review each dispute individually and may reverse the boost, and accounts behind fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may be restricted. Contacting support first is almost always the faster fix.

The binding terms are in the refund policy.
