Once you've signed in to a page you own, you can edit pretty much anything visible on it. Open your profile, then click Edit profile — the button sits under your name and follower counts, where visitors see the Follow button, on both desktop and mobile.
What you can edit
- Avatar — rounded for a person, square for a brand or other page
- Nickname — the display name shown on your profile
- Handle — your profile URL (
famerace.com/your-handle). You can change it, but changing it moves your public link. Your old address keeps redirecting to the new one unless someone else takes that handle later. Renaming locks your handle for 30 days (7 days with Premium), and the clock starts the first time you set one. Short handles (1–4 characters) and some common words are paid handles — the editor shows the price and a link to buy one before you can use it. - Headline — a one-line tagline shown under your name
- Bio — a short single paragraph that shows on your profile (plain text, no line breaks, up to 500 characters)
- Categories — what kinds of things you're known for; affects which leaderboards you show on
- Location — the country, then the region and city, your profile is attributed to. A Show my location switch hides the location line from your page; you still appear in regional rankings.
- Social links — your accounts on X, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Each one needs to be verified to count toward Audience.
- Detailed links — additional websites or pages you want to surface (your podcast feed, your Substack, your storefront)
- Music — Spotify or Apple Music embeds (2 on a free page, 10 with Premium)
- Video — YouTube videos that show on your profile (2 on a free page, 10 with Premium; channel and playlist links are not embedded)
- Statuses — switches you turn on from a fixed list: Looking for Followers, Open to Sponsorship, Open to Dating, Available for Work, Hiring. Choose all that apply; there is no free-text status.
Categories and Premium
Free pages can pick up to 3 categories. Premium pages can pick up to 10. The picker holds the line: a free page that tries to save more than 3 sees "Choose up to 3 categories. Premium raises that to 10."
What you can't edit
- Audience numbers — they come from your verified social links. Want a higher number? Verify more accounts.
- Total boosted — accumulates from real boosts other users make to your page.
Saving and publishing
Nothing is written until you press Done — every sub-screen (including the category picker) edits a draft, and Close without saving discards all of it. Once saved, edits take effect instantly and the leaderboard reflects them within minutes. If something looks wrong after a save, refresh — and if it still looks wrong, email support@famerace.com.
