    Refund policy

How refunds work for boosts and Premium. Boosts are tax-inclusive and generally final; Premium is cancel-anytime.

    Updated September 3, 2026

The binding terms are in the Refund Policy. Every card payment is recorded against the policy version in force at that moment (the checkout screens themselves link the Terms of Service). This is the plain-language summary.

    Boosts

A boost buys placement on a public board (from $5), paid by card or from a FameRace Wallet balance, and the amount is tax-inclusive — what you see is what you pay. Boosts are generally final once they're recorded. If a boost paid from your Wallet is ever reversed, the credit goes back to the Wallet — nothing is paid out in cash. If a payment succeeded but the boost didn't appear, or something clearly went wrong, contact support before disputing — see refunds and disputes.

    Premium

Premium is cancel-anytime. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access to the end of the period you already paid for, rather than getting a mid-period refund. The 7-day free trial on the monthly plan (one per person, email address and card — the yearly plan has no trial) means you can try Premium and cancel before any charge at all.

    Handles

A paid handle is a one-off, tax-inclusive charge and it is final: changing your handle later or deleting your account doesn't refund it. The one exception is if FameRace takes back a handle you paid for through no fault of yours — then you get back exactly what you paid.

    How to ask

For anything that needs a human — a charge you don't recognise, a failed purchase, a billing mistake — email support@famerace.com with your account email, the date and amount, and the payment method (a receipt or transaction ID helps). We'd much rather fix it directly than have you file a card chargeback, which freezes the whole thing while the bank investigates.

You don't have to contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, but reaching out first is almost always faster. A chargeback doesn't automatically undo the boost — we review each case and may reverse it, and accounts behind fraudulent or abusive chargebacks can be restricted.
